Couples Foundation International is a Marriage Ministry directed by Dr MSK Mashishi.
The vision of this Ministry is to help married couples to achieve a Biblical Marriage status.
The motto of the Ministry is Encouraging Marriage Discouraging Divorce.

CFI was launched in 2009 at the Windmill Casino in Bloemfontein (South Africa). It has since held the 1st of its annual events called “Mass Renewal of Vows” in 2010 in Bloemfontein City Hall. The event was intended to celebrate and strengthen the delegates’ marriages through marriage enrichment and also identify couples in need of premarital counselling and marriage therapy.
The 2nd Mass Renewal of Vows was held again at the same venue in 2011 to achieve the same objectives.
The 3rd Mass Renewal of Vows was held in 2012 at the Protea Hotel Central in Bloemfontein and it attracted 125 couples
plus 40 singles.
The 4th Mass Renewal of Vows was held 08 March 2014 in Kimberley at the Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre.
The CFI executive also decided on holding National Marriage Conferences in South Africa,
The 1st of which was held in Sun City (Kings Ballroom) on the 15/11/2014
The 2nd of which was held in Durban (Tsogo Sun Elangeni) on the 13-14/11/2015
The 3rd of which was held in Sandton (Michelangelo Hotel and Sandton Convention Centre) on the 11-12/11/2016
The 4th will be held at Sun City (Superbowl) on the 27-28/10/2017.
CFI has held events at and being invited to minister are the following –
- Limpopo Province: Mokopane
- Gauteng Province: Midrand, Vanderbijlpark, Sandton
- North West Province: Klerksdorp, Sun City, Carletonville
- Northern Cape: Kimberley, Kathu, Kuruman, Hartswater
- Free State Province: Bloemfontein, Botshabelo, Thaba-Nchu, Welkom, Qwaqwa,
All of these events set up an atmosphere of celebration of marriages – the atmosphere and an understanding that building stronger societies is dependent on prioritizing building stronger marriages;
CFI also conducted marriage empowerment sessions every Sunday afternoon at 16h00 to 18h00 at the Protea Hotel Central (now the Bon Hotel) to meet the need of many married couples in the city of Bloemfontein. This program ran for a period of 15 months, October 2014 to December 2015, and will again commence periodically from February 2017.
